The object of the study: patterns of the selection process in the flock. The purpose of the study: wool of sheep, rams and ewes of Kharkov sheep of interbreed type of a fine-wool breed Prekos with different output of washed wool, histological remedies, selection index. Research methods: a systematic review and synthesis, zootechnical, physical, technological, chemical, histological, organoleptic, population-statistical, accounting and assessing, financial and economic. Scientific novelty of the results: for the first time in Ukraine the expediency and efficiency of the selection ofthe ewes of Kharkov sheep of interbreed type of a fine-wool breed Prekos has been substanti-ated according to the output of washed wool forthe implementation of inheritance potential of wool productivity and improving its quality. Practical significance of the results: taking into ac-count the studied features introduction of the effective ways of breeding selection into the breed-ing selection theory and practicehas enabled to accelerate further consolidation of the breeding traits ofthe offspring of Kharkov sheep of interbreed type of a fine-wool breed Prekos that com-bine high output of washed woolclip with its quality
