Essay

Thesis deals with the issues of forming the system of mining and preparing watered horizons of deep lignite deposits in Ukraine. Investigations to establish dependencies forming system of mining and preparing watered horizons of deep lignite deposits from water volume and mining depth are performed in this thesis. Established dependences are the basis for the development of new technological solutions to combine excavation processes and mining drainage, as well as speed up the mining watered horizons of deep lignite deposits. The rational sequence of forming mining system and preparing watered horizons of deep lignite deposits depending on the parameters of cone of influence is considered at the first time. On the example of Novo-Dmitrovsky deposit the rational parameters of mining areas while watered spaces are deepening with dredgers and expanding the upper drained with draglines are identified firstly. Taking into account the set of tributaries to developed openings and specified volumes of rock mass excavation new ways of stripping lignite deposits using dredgers and complexes including dragline, transfer bunker and belt conveyor are proposed. Supplied technological decisions allowed to combine excavation processes and provide the drainage of deposits from groundwaters. Introducing new technologies into the design developments of the Institute "GIPROKOKS" made possible to go back from conservation of lignite protective pillar of 80-90 m3 on the quarry bottom, to reduce the volume of alienated lands for the allocation of outside dumps to 2 - 4 thousand hectares, to remove from 6 to 7 million m3 of overburden rocks by the final period of quarry operation, and, in whole, to reduce the time spent on stripping watered horizons of the deposits to 5 - 7 years. The expected economic effect depending on the technological solutions implementation will be more than 100 million UAN.
