Essay

A model of studying the artistic world as an image structure on the basis of the elegies by Roman poet Albius Tibullus is proposed. The artistic world is studied according to two main orientations: at its structure and imagery (hence the term “image world”). The proposed model of studying image world is based on the three methodological approaches – classical-philological, structural, and phenomenological, as well as on the theory of M. Bakhtin.
