The object of study is managerial processes of the forming and using of intellectual capital of joint stock companies (JSC). The aim of the dissertation is to justify and develop theoretical and methodological foundations of organizational and economic mechanism of management of the intellectual capital of the state, using as a tool the lower tier - joint stock companies (JSC). The methodological basis of the research is a systematic approach that allows to consider events and processes as a set of elements and relationships between them and the environment. The theoretical basis is the theory of systems, modern concepts of the knowledge economy development, the study of foreign and Ukrainian scientists on problems of management of intellectual capital at the state and other levels. First is proposed the conceptual algorithm approach to construction of the functioning process of the organizational and economic mechanism of management of intellectual capital of subjects of the entities of the national economy through the use of an integrated system of assessment and management, which covers a range of indicators, methods, instruments and management tools based on the expectations and aspirations to achieve the maximum amount of the use of intellectual capital. These allows to balance and optimize the management of the intellectual capital of subjects of the national economy according to the chosen management strategy. The practical significance of obtained results consists in the ability to promote the sustainable development of the national economy through increased use of intellectual capital in JSC.
