Object - Maria Bashkirtseva's Diary. Aim - specifying the textual connection of the autofictionality of Maria Bashkirtseva's Diary with the artistry of behavior and writing as well as with the ekphrastic thought. Methods - autofictional, autobiographical, artistic, mythopoetic, ekphrastical, historical and cultural. In the thesis "Diary" by M. Bashkirtseva is under study in the conceptual area of autofictionality in its "female" version as well as personal mythology, autofictional mythology and ekphrasis as a component of the myth about the Artist, that unite all the factors. This "Diary" as well as painting, sculpture and photos, which are still badly-known and underestimated by both the national and foreign critics, are in the focus of the thesis. The research emphasizes the theoretical and methodological possibilities of "female" autofictionality, expressed in the interaction of personal myth against the background of considering M. Bashkirtseva as a founder of her own mythology. In the research ekphrasis is a kind of diary text as well as a component of the myth about the Artist, while distinguishing itself in the urban "picture", in the ekphrasial reconsideration of painting classic, pictorial intentions of self-portraits and her own sculptures. The pictures by M. Bashkirtseva are regarded as one of the factors of autofictional myth's development. Appliance - academic field.
