Abdallah A. Peculiarities of construction and indications for use of retentinal devices after orthodontic care of dentofacial anomalies.

The thesis is devoted to the causes of recurrence of dentofacial anomalies after orthodontic treatment at different ages, local and general factors influence the occurrence of relapse in the retention period, the diagnosis of recurrence of dentofacial anomalies and problems of retention of the results achieved. The comparative characteristics of different ways to improve retention retention and prevent recurrence. Dentofacial anomalies after orthodontic treatment recorded in 30 % of patients. The main reasons of recurrence are errors in fixing the retention system and changes associated with the continuing growth of the patient's dentition. Selecting a method of retention achieved results after orthodontic treatment should be guided by the following diagnostic criteria: patient's age, the shape of the dental arch, the number and position of individual teeth, plan of orthodontic treatment (with or without tooth extraction), the time of treatment, severity of dental anomalies, concomitant physical illness and family history. The proposed strategy relapse prevention dentition anomalies with the use of retention devices with nylon thread impregnated with a liquid photopolymer and method of fixation, ensures reliable retention of the achieved results of orthodontic treatment, while maintaining the ability to physiological mobility of the teeth.
