The object of research is process of the energy resources distribution during economic security formation. The purpose of research is further development of theoretical and methodological support and development of practical recommendations for country economic security promoting in the natural gas production, distribution and use area. Methods of research are systematic and logical analysis; analysis and synthesis; taxonomic analysis; indicative analysis; factor analysis ; SWOT- analysis; correlation and regression analysis; scenario forecasting. Methodological provisions for the formation of the ways to achieve economic security in the natural gas distribution that takes into account different scenarios gas industry and allows to compare capital investments in production of conventional and unconventional natural gas; methodical approach to evaluating the of the country energy security in the gas area that bases on the classification of its indicators on the basis of the factors particular group membership and provides identification of problematic aspects of the distribution at the national and global levels; analytical support for the functioning of the natural gas distribution area that bases on the performance dynamics of reserves and production and covers the dynamics of the global market are improved. are received further development The definition of " energy security of the country" that refers to the state the national economy interests protection from the risks of imbalance energy market situation at the national and global markets; methodological position to assess the prospects of unconventional natural gas that includes the formation of forecast scenarios deposits unconventional natural gas and allows for calculations of economic efficiency of production to the pre-design stage.
