The dissertation is dedicated to the study of the concept, content, mechanism of the implementation and limitations of immediacy research of evidence, objects and documents as the general principles of criminal proceeding. The author discloses the historical process of the emergence and development of the theoretical concepts and regulatory of the principle of immediacy, characterizes immediacy in criminal proceeding from the standpoint of proof, investigates the relationship of immediacy research of evidence, objects and documents with other general principles of criminal proceeding. On the basis of the current legislation and scientific works of forensic scientists the mechanism of the implementation of the principle of immediacy research evidence, objects and documents during the preliminary investigation, the first instance proceeding and court proceeding of judicial review is uncovered. By the results of the investigation the proposals to improve the Criminal Procedure Law in the part that regulates the implementation of the principle of immediacy research evidence, objects and documents in criminal proceeding are made.
