Objekt: American Shakespeare discourse of the XVIII-XIX century. Aim: to define the national specifics and peculiarities of structuring the American paradigm of Shakespeare reception. Methods: hermeneutical, historical, instruments of reception aesthetics. Scientific novelty: the notion "reception paradigm" is for the first time conceptualized; literary works which have never been analyzed dy the Ukrainian scholars are introduced into national scholarship.
