The thesis is devoted to the research of administrative and legal regulations of Presiding Judge's functions in administrative proceedings in Ukraine. The elements of this status and the conditions of its acquisition are determined and theoretically grounded in the thesis. Tasks, rights, duties, and responsibilities of Presiding Judge are characterized. The experience of foreign countries in relation to peculiarities of Presiding Judge's functions is studied, analyzed, and compared. The main directions of improvement of the status of Presiding Judge are determined and the ways of its implementation are suggested.
