Lysenko N. Modern Expressive Discourse (analyzing English compressed texts)

The dissertation focuses on the analysis of expressive discourse as a modern communicative formation, which is manifested in many areas of human thinking by the language means. It has been established that the purpose of the expressive discourse consists in the creation of views on the subject of communication, its positive or negative evaluation and formation of adequate ideas on this subject in the mind of the recipient. Expressive compressed text as a special lingual formation is one of the forms of expressive discourse implementation. The occurrence of such type of a text is explained by two main factors: the purpose to express certain emotive intentions and the need to find more efficient ways of thoughts expression and their written fixation.
