Essay

The objects of the research are the heat and mass exchange processes and the transitional processes of the passenger cars electrical equipment operation. The thesis is dedicated to the study of the possibility of the passengers' comfort conditions perfection due to the power supply and air conditioner systems improvement. The use of improved live-support system will allow making better passengers' comfort conditions and will promote the competitiveness of the passenger railway rolling stock. For the first time the alternative methods of the comfortable temperature supporting in a passenger car at slow speeds and their effectiveness were researched. It gave the possibility to refuse from the traditional power consuming air conditioner operation mode from the storage battery. For the first time it was theoretically grounded and experimentally proved the additional generator operation with the variable voltage in the double-generator independent power supply system. It allowed using its capacity in a full way. The mathematical model of unsteady heat processes in a passenger car was improved due to the elementary balance method usage. It allowed to increase the model accuracy. Additional factor that influence the stability of the passenger car power supply system was determined. It was proved that optimal inverter mode for the power supply system stability is the mode that characterized by the fact that output inverter frequency is in direct proportion to the input inverter voltage. Single results of the research were introduced in Sinelnikovo passenger cars depot and by the INSTITUTE OF POWER ELECTRONICS.
