Research subject - processes promoting the development of the innovative potential of railway transport enterprises. Objective - the development of theoretical and methodological grounds and practical recommendations promoting the development of the innovative potential of railway transport enterprises under the conditions of the intelligent production system. Methods - grouping, morphological analysis, generalization and system analysis, analysis and synthesis, financial, economical and statistical analysis, a logical and analytical method, a matrix method. Results - the definition of the essence of the notion "the innovative potential of railway transport" is improved; an approach to defining main strategic directions of the development of the innovative potential of railway transport is brought up to date; the definition of the essence of the notion "the innovative development of railway transport" is enriched. The following issues have been further developed: theoretical grounds as to setting technology transfer and commercialization processes as strategic directions in the development of the innovative potential; an organizational and methodological approach to promoting the development of the innovative potential of railway transport enterprises; methodological grounds as to improving the management of the development of the innovative potential of railway transport enterprises under conditions of creation of the Technology Transfer and Commercialization Centre; the mechanism for managing the innovative development of railway transport; systematizing factors of the innovative development of railway transport enterprises.
