Essay

The efficiency of weed control in soybean crops, when different herbicide programs were applied, was studied in field trials. Selectivity of some herbicides and their mixtures concerning the crop was evaluated in field and vegetative trials based on the effect on biometric parameters, the content of photosynthetic pigments and photosynthesis intensity, as well as on the changes of symbiotic nitrogen fixation. It has been established that the application of the mixture containing herbicide metribuzine and metolachlor into the soil before crop emergency widens a range of controlled species of weeds, which in turn enhances the protection efficacy.
