Essay

In the present thesis complex analysis of popular Dan Brown's tetralogy ("Angels & Demons", "The Da Vinci Code", "The Lost Symbol", "Inferno") in the context of American "mass" literature of 80-90s of the 20th century was implemented. Religious basis and leading concepts of Dan Brown's prose, peculiarities of their artistic presentation in problematics, themes, and imagery system of author's works were determined. Architectonics of writer's novels as well as their mythopoetics and narrative forms were considered. Dan Brown's sphere of concepts that differs with semantic width, transparency, ability to give rise to different senses within the scope of modern culture was placed focus on. Genre and stylistic specific nature of Dan Brown's tetralogy and his contribution to modern novel was determined as well.
