Essay

The thesis is devoted to experimental investigation and theoretical explanation of optical and luminescence properties of ZnGa2O4 thin films, both pure and doped with Mn2+ and Cr3+. Light dispersion in ZnGa2O4 thin films is studied and parameters of the three-parameter single oscillation model are determined. It is shown that the luminescence spectra for ZnGa2O4 and ZnGa2O4:Mn thin films are formed by superposition of several bands and their decomposition into elementary components is performed. The nature of the luminescence centers in these films is established. Phononless, Stokes and anti-Stokes spectral bands in the luminescence spectra of ZnGa2O4:Cr thin films are identified.
