Blyshchyk V. Production of black alder stands of Ukrainian Polissya.

The thesis is devoted to study of primary production of black alder stands of Ukrainian Polissya, development of models and tables of dynamics of biological productivity, carbon sequestion and oxygen-production. Stem production of black alder trees and stands in study region was calculated. Potential of this tree species in carbon sequestration is estimated. For the first time a new method for estimation of biotic production of trees crown components is implemented. We obtained the statistical characteristics of biometric indices of branches, the coefficients of correlation between biometric indices and regression models of percentage of current increment of branches. Models and tables of aboveground live biomass, bioproductivity, net primary production, oxygen-production and carbon sequestion in the studied stands are built.
