Rabadanova L. Religious studies in the philosophical and educational heritage of the Kyiv Theological Academy thinkers of the late nineteenth - early twentieth centuries

The dissertation is devoted to the systematic analysis of the creative heritage of Kyiv Theological Academy thinkers of the late nineteenth - early twentieth century. Religious ideas are pointed out as an autonomous subject of scientific research through consideration of the problem field of theology, religious philosophy and philosophy of religion as synchronized forms of theorizing in Kyiv Theological Academy. Disclosed is the theological basis for the formation of religious ideas of representatives of Kyiv Theological Academy. Revealed is developing of ideological and spiritual tradition in the context of theology, and its strengthening by dint of the rational component to the speculative philosophy of religion. Explicated is the process of the gradual expansion of the religion issue. Conducted is the methodology of its investigation through research of theoretical and historical aspects of religion. The author provides a theoretical and historical analysis of religion within the creative works of thinkers of Kyiv Theological Academy. Historical and religious study can find commonalities in different religious traditions. The theoretical aspect enables the transition from general philosophical reflection to understanding a particular religious tradition.
