Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the study of the regularities of synthesis and characterization of organic-inorganic nanocomposite materials on the base of tetraethoxysilane and acrylic monomers. Separate stages of sol-gel process and kinetic peculiarities of radical photoinitiated polymerization of acrylates in the presence of sol-gel system have been investigated. Synthesized nanocomposites containing sulphogroups have proton conductivity, high thermal stability and significant water absorption, which allows to consider these materials as promising for the use as proton-conductive membranes in fuel cells.
