Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of humanistic character of religious and philosophical views of the Orthodox Volyn figures at the end of XIX - early XX centuries in the context of ideas of Christian humanism, Orthodox anthropology and Christian-humanist values. Based on the analysis of humanistic bases of views of A. Sendylskogo, N. Teodorovycha, A. Hoynatskogo the peculiarities of the anthropological problems are revealed and the moral and religious landmarks in their creative heritage are also singled out. The author of the thesis revealed the praxiological potential of religious and philosophical heritage of Volyn figures. Defined the features and significance of Christian and humanistic values of A. Sendylskogo, N. Teodorovycha, A. Hoynatskogo, which, displayed in the context of modern Ukrainian traditions, are modified, there is a tendency to increased emphasis on self-sufficiency, permanent development of a person, diminishing her total dependence on God's essence. The author of the thesis stated that the main characteristics of religious and philosophical ideas of the Orthodox Volyn figures are related to the practices of spiritual life (fundamental provisions of the Decalogue, prayer, asceticism, fasting), but are modified, because the traditional dogmatic basis doesn't satisfy people's requests.
