Essay

The thesis presents the theoretical and methodological bases and methodical approaches for physiological assessment of stability of woody plant species to water and high temperature stresses. The degree of drought resistance of plants on indicators of water regime was shown for the first time. Investigated the highest values of Kdr of plant leaves of horse chestnut red and black poplar, due to their sustainable plasticity and high adaptation possibilities by high air temperatures and water deficit. Established the accumulation of ascorbic acid and free proline in leaves of drought resistant woody plant species. Developed and modified the integral ranging scale of plant resistance for landscaping them in the city Kyiv. Under the conditions of urban environment we recommended resistant to water deficit and high air temperature plants horse chestnut red, black poplar and black locust.
