Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the development of technology foundations of esters of acetic acid and primary aliphatic alcohols С4-С5 with sulfonic acids salts as a catalyst. Kinetic and technological regularities of acetic acid esterification in open and closed system have been ascertained. The effect of cation and anion of the salt on the reaction rate and technological parameters of the process has been studied. Aluminium p-toluenesulfonate has been suggested as an efficient and affordable catalyst of alkyl acetates production.
