Essay

The thesis is devoted to the manifestly covariant study of the consequences of diffeomorphic invariance in an arbitrary metric-torsion theories of gravitation. The following results are obtained: a) a total universal system of differential identities are derived; b) the conservative generalized canonical and symmetrized currents are constructed; c) the generalized Klein-Noether boundary theorem is proven; d) a generally covariant formula for constructing a generalized superpotential is obtained; e) covariant expressions for the energy-momentum and spin tensors are derived for Lagrangians with the second derivatives and a non-minimal coupling with gravitational fields; f) a general structure of equations of motion for gravitational fields is stated.
