The thesis examined the genre of choral poem in the works of Ukrainian composers XIX - XXI centuries. from the perspective of organic synthesis of music and poetic. Carried out a review of cultural and historical conditions of the formation of the genre in the Ukrainian music, marked the sources and factors that contributed to the birth of the genre of the poem in Ukrainian choral culture.
