Yarosh K. Statistical analysis of Ukraine's government debt

The dissertation is devoted to determination of regularity forming dynamics and structure of the government debt of Ukraine, evaluation of the debt safety, development the research and practical recommendations concerning the rational attraction and effective use of government loans. The informational and methodological support of statistical estimation of government debt has been described. The necessity of harmonization of the government debt's statistics under the international standards has been proved. Recommendations as to improvement of the system of collection and promulgation of information about the government debt of Ukraine have been formed. The regularities of the dynamics and structure of Ukraine's government debt have been identified and the basic tendencies of the internal and external debt have been shown. The index system of the debt safety has been formed, complementing the list of basic debt indicators with the financial and economic indicators that have essential influence on the debt situation in the country. On the basis of selected indicators the complex evaluation of the Ukraine's debt safety has been done. The sovereign credit rating of Ukraine has been investigated as a factor of debt safety. On the basis of the principal components model debt position of the country has been estimated, that gave an opportunity to trace the dynamics of debt situation in Ukraine.
