Essay

Streptozotocin diabetes was accompanied with increasing concentration of preprandial glycemia, fructosamine, NEFA, TAGC, conjugated dienes, trienes and oxy-dienes, MDA, NOx; considerable decrease of circulating insulin and ceruplasmin, concentration of SН-groups, ?-tocopherol, activity of SOD and total antioxidant activity in blood. The following disbalance POL and antioxidant defence; inactivation of two-link part of Krebs cycle and inhibition of oxidative phosphorylation processes in hepatic mitochondria. Metabolic disturbances induced nephropathy development by shrinkage and changes of renal glomeruli, defects of capillary permeability and other intraorgan vessels; systemic ultrastructural changes of mitochondria, basal membranes of cells, tissues and vessels of kidneys. The use of vitamins C and E had no effect on the dynamics of carbohydrate metabolism at the same time had a positive effect on lipid metabolism; restore the antioxidant system; improved ADP-stimulated respiration and respiratory control. Promoted partial decreasing of morphological changes intensity in capillary glomeruli and renal corpuscles in whole; decrease of dystrophic disturbances of tubules epithelium, physical and chemical properties of interstitium; partial restoration of peculiarities of ultrastructural organization of renal tissue cells by normalization of mitochondria structure, orderliness of microtubules and membranes structure.
