There have been determined high prevalence of malocclusion in adults (82%) and first established the prevalence of class II subdivision malocclusion (8%). There have been designed and implemented to practical orthodontics the author's method of biometric evaluation of jaws on diagnostic models and author's method for evaluation of panoramic x-rays, which helps to clarify the etiology of sagittal asymmetry of occlusion. There have been established that TMJ shift toward a distal molar ratio is one of the main etiological factors of class II subdivision malocclusion.
