Essay

The thesis presents the results of studying the agroeconomic effectiveness of different ways of mulch tillage and fertilization systems in growing sunflower after winter wheat on ordinary chernozem of the northern part of the Steppe of Ukraine. It has been established that when large amounts of straw (5 to 7 t/ha) are involved in the biological cycle, chisel mulch tillage to a depth of 14-16 cm using heavy cultivators with working tools of the semi-digger type is preferable while when fewer crop residues (up to 3.5 t/ha) are left in the field, it is advisable to conduct stubble mulch tillage to a depth of 12-14 cm.
