Chevela G. Problems of increasing the effectiveness of insurance organizations investment activity and ways of resolving them

The thesis systematizes theoretical approaches to defining the essence of insurance as part of the investment market, investigates the problem of investments by insurance companies, and especially the regulation of insurance and investment activities in order to increase efficiency. The subject and the priorities for investments by insurance companies are researched, their investment potential is assessed, methodological approaches to the development of effective strategies of investments by insurance companies are proposed. The thesis proposes an algorithm to optimize the investment portfolio of insurance companies, which makes it possible to integrate the process of investing in the overall scheme of financial management and provides for a more effective investment by insurance companies. The paper reveals ways to improve the investment potential based on the adaptation of organizational structures of management in insurance companies. It substantiates efforts to revitalize the movement of insurers' investment resources that are based on the interaction of authorities, industries, businesses and insurance companies regarding insurance reserves investment in priority sectors of the economy.
