Essay

The object of the research is processes of business portfolio formation of instrument-making companies in the modern business environment. The research objective is to develop theoretical concepts and methodological and practical recommendations on formation of business portfolio of instrument-making companies on the basis of marketing and logistics. The author has used the methods of comparison, systematization and generalization, statistical and economic analysis, SWOT-analysis, expert analysis, deduction, induction and systematic approach, economic and mathematical modeling and the method of successive approximations, АВС-ХYZ analysis and product life cycle analysis, PSM method of "Price Sensitivity Meter", graphical method. The theoretical significance of the thesis results consists in studying theoretical basis for the company's business portfolio formation. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the development of theoretical concepts and methodological recommendations on the mechanism of business portfolio formation of the instrument-making companies on the basis of marketing and logistics. The subject of the research is theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of forming business portfolio of the instrument-making companies on the basis of marketing and logistics. The author's recommendations apply to the peculiarities of business portfolio formation, depending on market environment and internal supply capabilities. The authors' recommendations shall apply to the instrument-making companies.
