Kochergin V. Islam in the Theology of Religions of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The author analyzes attitude toward Islam from theologians, hierarchs and church' writers of the Russian Orthodox Church, using scheme of the theology of religions. He reviews origins and contemporary attitude, beginning from Eastern church' fathers and up to now in Russian Orthodox Church. Such kind of analysis was made at first behind Ukrainian scholarship. The period includes fourteenth centuries and the author tries to think and view in the categories of the theology of religions, trying to extrapolate it into Orthodox context. The place of Islam in the theology of religions of the Russian Orthodox Church is shown by next steps: author reveals attitude of the Eastern Church' fathers and Church' writers, theologians and hierarchs of the Kyiv's Rus, Moscow kingdom, Russian Empire and Contemporary Russian Orthodox Church.
