The dissertation investigates theoretical and methodical foundations of strategic planning of the development and elaboration of theoretical and practical recommendations for improving the process of strategic planning of development of the milk-processing enterprises. The paper analyzes the current state of the milk-processing branch and the problems and tendencies of its development. The work reveals the characterization of the state of strategic planning and its influence upon the effectiveness performance of the milk-processing enterprises. The model approach to the process of strategic planning of development of the milk-processing enterprises taking into account their sector profile is developed. This research emphasizes the model of the specification of the directions for development of the enterprise within the branch. The system of indicators of strategic planning of development of the milk-processing enterprises is improved.
