The aim of the thesis is the study and development of theoretical-methodological and practical foundations of statistical evaluation of the development of "green" economy in Ukraine. Object of research are the development of "green" economy in Ukraine. The subjects of research are theoretical and methodological basis for statistical estimation of the development of "green" economy in Ukraine. Research methods: induction, deduction, analysis, synthesis, theoretical generalization, grouping, comparing, bibliographic, biometric. Scientific novelty of the results is the theoretical justification and solving complex issues related to the improvement of methodological approaches to the statistical evaluation of the development of the green economy and its impact on social, economic and ecological situation in Ukraine that has practical value for policy decisions concerning the further development of the economy in terms of minimizing environmental pollution. First: the theoretical and methodological basis for statistical estimation of the development of "green" economy in Ukraine, which allows to improve information support integrated assessment of "green" economy with the aim of developing evidence-based recommendations for its development. Improved: the system of statistical indicators of the development of "green" economy by its adaptation to existing sources of information that enables you to extend the study and analysis of the development of "green" economy in Ukraine and to ensure the quality, reliability and international comparability of data; the methodology of statistical assessment of the status and development of "green" economy based on the concept of "Driving force - pressure - state - impact - response" (RS-T-C-b-G), which makes possible the analysis of causal relationships between economic activities and their impact on the environment. Received further development: the method of estimating the progress of greening the economy through decoupling by clarifying the system of indicators at the regional level and by type of economic activity with the use of inflation targets, which allowed us to obtain a more accurate assessment of the development of "green" economy in Ukraine; information provision a statistical study of the green economy on the basis of the formation and deepening of the information base for the assessment and development of proposals for a centralized collection of data on the dynamics and consequences of the development of "green" economy in Ukraine.
