Objekt: play "Julius Caesar" by W. Shakespeare. Aim: to define the nature of artistic representation of the plit from the Roman history in W. Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar". Methods: hermeneutical, historical, instruments of reception aesthetics. Scientific novelty: the first in the Ukrainian fnd foreign literary studies integrated research of the poetic specifics and receptive capacity of W. Shakespeare's Roman play "Julius Caesar". Determination of this literary work's genre peculiarities, its historiographical background and levels of dramatic technique are in the focus of attention. Approved in 15 publications. The sphere of use: literature and high sckool practice.
