The theoretical propositions regarding the definition of the essence and content of viticultural industry development strategy and the study of modern approaches to the development of strategies for its development were revealed; the features of modern economic conditions and priorities for further development of wine-growing industry of Ukraine were defined; the methodologies for assessing the impact of economic development of viticulture industry were improved. The assessment of the resource potential viticultural industry and analysis of domestic vine and winemaking development was done and to define its place in the global market. The efficiency of the branch functioning and ways to improve it was determined. The innovative ways to improve production of viticultural branch were proposed. The system of marketing vine and wine industry was developed. A model of the viticultural industry development and organization and economic mechanism of its functioning was worked out. A model of viticultural industry production optimization was proposed
