Essay

The characteristic of Scolytinae species composition in the fauna of Ukraine (122 species) and South-East of Ukraine (65 species) is given. One species is presented for Europe for the first time, 7 species - for Ukraine, 29 - for the region under investigation. The taxonomic composition, the peculiarities of bionomy and ecology, the change of areals of Scolytinae are analyzed. The keys for the identification of imagoes of bark-beetles in the fauna of Ukraine are composed.
