The dissertation is devoted to the complex analysis of adjectives in the Crimean Tatar language. The paper examines the theoretical approaches to the study of adjective as a part of speech, the development of the theory of adjective as a part of speech in the Crimean Tatar grammar works of XX-XXI centuries is revealed, the principles for distinguishing adjectives in the Crimean Tatar language are formulated. In this paper, the system of the grammatical categories of adjectives is characterized, the principles of differentiation between qualitative and relative adjectives in the Crimean Tatar language are discussed. The category of degree of quality of adjectives is described. The processes of transition of different parts of speech in the category of adjective are studied. The types and models of word-formation of adjectives in the Crimean Tatar language are described. The potential of derivation of non-derivative adjectives is characterized. The semantic classification of adjectives in the Crimean Tatar language is given. The semantics of adjectives of sensory perception, denoting the taste and emotional-evaluative adjectives describing emotional state is studied in details. The complex relationships in such relations are analyzed, nuclear and peripheral zones called LSG are distinguished. The main results obtained during the study of adjectives in the Crimean Tatar language are given in the summary. The appendices contain the tables showing the types and models of word-formation of adjectives, word-formation potential of non-derivative adjectives.
