In the thesis are determined scientific fundamentals of strategic management as the basis of the concept of formation of the competitiveness of the budget-making branches of the food sector, its factors and peculiarities, methodical bases of estimation of competitiveness of the budget-making branches of food industry. The influence of different factors on the formation of the competitiveness of the sectors of the food sector, efficiency of functioning of the budget-making branches of the food sector, innovation and investment supply of competitive development. Justified mechanisms and ways of competitive development of the budget-making branches of the food sector, directions and mechanisms of state support to enhance their competitiveness in the long term.
