Shevchenko N. Macroprudential regulation of investment activities of commercial banks

Object of research is a process of macroprudential regulation of investment activities of commercial banks in Ukraine. The aim of the dissertation is to improve theoretical and methodological and applied principles of macroprudential regulation of investment banks. In order to achieve the goal of dissertation the following methodological approaches were utilized: dialectical and historical methods, methods of analysis and synthesis, comparison and observation, semantic analysis; structural, economic and statistical analysis, regression and time-lag analysis; fractal analysis; method of logical generalization; graphic and topographic methods. The theoretical value of the dissertation is an improvement of theoretical approaches to mechanism of macroprudential regulation of investment banks, which foresees utilization of systems of early warning and indicators of financial stability for counter-cyclical impact on the national economy; also were further developed: categorical-conceptual apparatus of the investment activity of banks, including the concepts of "investment activity", "investment activities of banks" and "macroprudential regulation of investment banks" and the classification of types of investment activity with differentiation of monotype and polytype investments, which are based on qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the investment.
