Lapina I. Investment banking in Ukraine on the corporate governance fundamentals

The dissertation research is devoted to theoretical approaches of defining the essence, functions and peculiarities of investment banking on the basis of corporate governance, the author suggests the definition of investment banking, corporate governance in bank, which are specialized on investment banking activities and provides the comparative analysis of international and domestic experience of investment banking practices. The general features of current conditions, problems and prospects of Ukrainian investment banking development on the basis of corporate governance are identified in the thesis; the necessity of the separation of investment and commercial banks is proved. The systematization of scientific and methodological approaches by which evaluated an interrelation between corporate governance and investment banking efficiency is specified; methodical fundamentals establish the relationship between the factors of corporate governance and financial efficiency of investment banks. The author offers methodical bases of improvement corporate governance models in banks that carry out investment banking activities. Problematic aspects and directions of state regulation of investment banking based on the corporate governance factors are considered.
