The thesis provides conceptual synthesis and new solution to the scientific task of identification and improvement of matters associated with administrative and legal control of forensic activities. Forensic activities have been studied as an object of administrative and legal control. It has been found that administrative and legal control of forensic activities constitutes a system and outlines a range of public relations which are defined by a set of various legal arrangements; plays a leading role in regularizing public relations by means of administrative law; features stages in the functional aspect and in terms of content; distinguishes specific traits which are not characteristic of other social regulation types; only regularizes the most important social relations in this area which cannot exist and develop efficiently without legal regulation. The principles for administrative and legal control of forensic activities have been identified. Administrative and legal status of forensic activities public administration has been researched. Distinctions have been identified for the forensic activities administrative and legal control performed by various public administration entities. Areas for improvement of the forensic activities administrative and legal control have been discussed. Special aspects of the best foreign practices have been identified, and multiple amendments have been proposed to administrative and legal rules in this area.
