The thesis provides the research of the administrative procedures for providing the right for public information access. The functions of the public information in the modern society are characterised. The typology of public information and the peculiarities of its legal regime are reviewed. The trends of development of the public information institute in the foreign legislation are determined. The proofs of classification of the requests for public information review procedure as a separate type of administrative procedure are given. The structure and principles of the above-mentioned procedure are characterised. Besides the proposition of amendments to the Act on public information access are proposed.
