The dissertation is focuses on the biochemical mechanisms of oxidative-nitrative stress development and its role in the genesis and progression of radioinduced disorders and the possibility of correction of pathological changes by the concentrate of natural polyphenolic complex of red wine. It was found changes in the balanced functioning of the antioxidant defense and the L-arginine / nitrogen monooxide systems, that is reflected in changes of superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, NO-synthase activities and in the content of lipid peroxidation products after irradiation in doses 10 and 30 cGy. It was demonstrated that the consumption of concentrate of polifenolic complex leads to recovery of the physiological characteristic of the studied parameters in peripheral blood, leukocytes, aortic tissues and renal cortical layer. It was firstly demonstrated changes of 3'-nitrotyrosine content in leukocytes, aorta and kidneys of irradiated rats, and polyphenolic compounds of red wine diminish the effect of radiation.
