Dmitrieva K. Legal Regulation of Leisure Time According to the Legislation of Ukraine and foreign countries.

The thesis is devoted to the examination of legal regulation of leisure time under the legislation of Ukraine in legal comparasion with European and international labour standards, and the laws of foreign countries. Stages of formation and development of the doctrine of leisure time in the science of labour law are being analysed. The notion and characteristics of leisure time as a labour law category are being defined. Types of leisure time are being characterized. The legal nature and structure of the right to rest as a subjective labour right is being explored. International and European standards of the right to rest and compliance with them of the provisions of the applicable labour legislation and the draft Labour Code of Ukraine in this area are being researched. Foreign experience of legal regulation of leisure time is being studied. The main trends of legal regulation of leisure time under the legislation of Ukraine in contemporary period are being defined. Specific proposals on improvement of acts of labour legislation in force, draft Labour Code of Ukraine in the field of leisure time in accordance with international and European labour standards, positive legislative experience of foreign countries.
