Essay

The thesis is devoted to theoretical grounding and practical application of the processed techniques for search of dependencies and building reference and normative tables for evaluation of qualitative and quantitative parameters of aboveground live biomass components of trees and stands of artificial Crimean pine stands in the Crimea. The present status and mensurational characteristics in artificial Crimean pine forest in the Crimea. By means of statistical methods distribution of the main mensurational parameters of the experimental data is estimated. Correlation between aboveground live biomass components indices of trees and forest stands and their mensurational parameters is established. Mathematical models of natural and base density of wood and bark of trunks and branches of trees are developed. Parameters of mean density of aboveground live biomass components of pine trees of the studied region are ascertained. Share of needles in tree greenery and bone dry matter content in fresh needles are established. A set of standards for assessment of aboveground live biomass of trees and stands of Scots pine in fresh and bone dry state by the following components are developed: tree trunks, bark of trunks, tree trunks over bark, branches over bark, needles, aboveground biomass of trees, tree crowns. Ratio of aboveground live biomass of stands to their growing stock is calculated. Normative and reference tables for assessment of carbon content in aboveground live biomass in artificial Crimean pine forest in the Crimea are developed.
