The thesis is dedicated to the grounds of theoretical and methodological bases of formation and realization of the mechanism of rise in competitiveness of light industry small businesses. The evolution of development of small business is examined; the peculiarities of scientific approaches as to formation of management system and functioning of small business are discovered. The principles, criteria are defined; exciting methods of support of competitiveness of small businesses are analyzed. The choice of indicators that reveal the essence of competitiveness level is carried out; indicated characteristics of accessibility of particular businesses are determined. The problems are defined; the main tendencies of activation of functioning of light industry small businesses for reaching needed level of competitiveness are outlined. The component parts are determined; structural model of mechanism rise in competitiveness level of light industry small businesses are expressed; structural-logical interrelation of basic elements of formation of competitiveness of companies is ascertained. The system of monitoring of competitiveness advantages for control and observance of indicated rates are worked out and included in the mechanism of rise in competitiveness level of small businesses.
