Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of peculiarities of metabolic abnormalities in children with overweight and obesity and to optimize the early detection of metabolic syndrome by assessing the information value of each component. The complex approach to the diagnosis of metabolic disorders which arise on the basis of overweight and obesity in children is applied in this paper. The factors that contribute to the development of the metabolic disorders are defined and the relationships between them are studied. Scientific data on age and sex features of metabolic syndrome in children with overweight and obesity has been supplemented in the thesis. The informativeness of components of metabolic syndrome was revealed. Hypoalfalipoproteyinemiya is the most informative, hypertension, hyperglycemia and hypertriglyceridemia and abdominal obesity are slightly smaller informative. The algorithm for the diagnosis of metabolic syndrome based on the evaluation of identified informative symptoms have developed.
