Essay

The object is backscattering of electromagnetic waves from polydisperse medium of liquid precipitation. The goal is the further development of double-frequency remote sensing method of polydisperse mediums in the form of liquid precipitation with nonspherical drops for solving the inverse problem of reconstruction their integral parameters. Methods of digital signal processing and numerical scattering of electromagnetic waves, the statistical theory of random variables distributions, the method of moments, the method of dipole scattering. Results are further development of double-frequency remote sensing method of liquid precipitation taking into account the nonsphericity. Accuracy of approximate methods for calculating the differential radar cross section of backscattering of nonspherical drops is investigated. The inverse problem to restore the microstructural characteristics of polydisperse medium of liquid precipitation, taking into account the nonsphericity of the particles at double-frequency remote sensing is solved. Scope - remote sensing
