This thesis presents a complex analysis of the structural-semantic, sociolinguistic and pragmatic features of phraseological units, denoting interpersonal relationships in German language. It is assumed that the particularities of semantic structure of phraseological units, their functioning in the language depend on the structural-semantic content, sociolinguistic and cultural peculiarities - age, gender and social differences of the communicants. The main features of the accessory of phraseological units denoting interpersonal relationships to a particular relation's group are defined in the thesis. The mental reflection specifics, an influence and a role of the social and political factors in the choice of phraseological units in communication are considered. It has been proved that a choice and a formation of the phraseological units denoting interpersonal relationships depend on the reference of the expressions to the inner nature of people, to their emotional and mental state. The problems of understanding and knowledge of each phraseological expression by communicants are investigated, as well it is also determined that their meaning alteration and development depend on fields and terms of its usage in communication. The factors of pragmatic verbalization effectiveness of interpersonal relationships in phraseological units are explained via explication of communication strategies in political speeches and printed issues. Assigned communication strategies (discredit, manipulation, self-representation, compromise), which have been revealed in the official speeches of the federal chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, are considered as a result of the analysis of a pragmatic aspect of phraseological units.
