Essay

Object of research: biological properties (biochemical activity, sensitivity to antibiotics, coli-phage and coli-proteus phage, production of enzymes) of E.coli strains; pathomorphological features of the internal organs (inflammation of the parietal and visceral peritoneum, the presence of macrophage infiltration, fibrin exudation, inflammation and degenerative changes in the liver and hemorheological disorders) phagocytic activity of leukocytes, hematological, acute phase markers of inflammation (CRP - C - reactive protein, seromucoid) of experimental animals. The purpose is to prove the expediency of antibiotics and bacteriophages combination application in experimental peritonitis caused by E. coli. Methods: microbiological, immunological, biochemical, hematological, pathomorphological, mathematics and statistics. Equipment: thermostat, centrifuge, microscope biological "BIOLAM", microtome sledge. At first time it was demonstrated the efficiency of the combined application of gatifloxacin with coli-phage and coli-proteus phage. It was firstly found that the combined usage of gatifloxacin with coli-phage and coli-proteus phage leaded to inhibition of the E. coli growth, the removal of signs of microbial inflammation, normalization of laboratory parameters. For the first time it was proved that immunobiological drugs would increase the phagocytic activity of leukocytes, both separately and in combination with gatifloxacin. It was revealed that E. coli strains picked up from patients with peritonitis, compared with museum strains showed a high adhesion, and proteolytic hemolytic activity and a high sensitivity to bacteriophages. It was found a large number of 85,7 ± 9,3% of multidrug-resistant strains of E. coli. Degree of introduction: patent, information sheet, acts of introduction into the curricula of universities in Ukraine and medical institutions in Kharkiv. Area of usage: medicine (surgery, oncology, urology, gynecology).
